Well yess and no. It is supposed to and for some textures it works, on the
Diamond Deck it dosen't. When you select the mode to do repetative rendering
it seems to default to a sphere view. For cylindrical hull maps and such it
is very usefull. Essence(the actual textures) were designed to be used in
Imagine and their they excell. I think the diamond deck with profills
used as a diffuse map would work. I haven't played with it yet. I also
haven't had time so set up an Imagine scene yet. My thought is set up a
plane in imagine render it pull it into ADPRO and crop it to be seamless.
This type og pattern should work well. My other thought is to model the
thing. After all it is simply a raised metal pattern. Model the bsse
object(one extrusion) build a pair and clone them. Polygon count could
soar but I don't think it need a high count to start with. The stuff
I see in the real world varies greatly, but they did not design it
for looks, thats for sure.
